Border Liners Club History

Border Liners Orienteering Club was formed in 1969 - well before the days of 'high def' coloured maps and electronic timing. While today we can expect race results to be published the same evening, or sometimes even before we head home after an event, it is worth bearing in mind that this wasn't always the case!

40 years ago, on Sunday 21st May 1970, Border Liners held their first Orienteering Event in nearby Greystoke Forest. Greystoke is now totally unsuitable for Orienteering, so we moved the Celebrations to the nearest alternative Venue and Date...
