FINAL COMPASS SPORT CUP & TROPHY RESULTS
Compass Sport Trophy Results Correction
The Compass Sport results have now been checked and a correction made. This does not affect the individual results, the Cup results or the overall standings for the Trophy. In the Trophy competition a clubs' best two runners in both Light Green Men and Light Green Women were potentially counted whereas the rules state that only two runners are eligible to count for the combined Light Green course. The same is true of Orange Men/Women. This means that the runners that count for PFO have changed slightly but the result still stands - PFO win the Trophy round.
Comment on the event from Mike Atherton, Controller
"Congratulations to you (organiser Chris Lates) and the BL team for organising such a high quality event. All aspects of the organisation were excellent - car parking, start, finish, results service and with the added bonus of indoor facilities.
I think this event will have enhanced the status of the CompassSport Cup and Trophy and has set a standard I hope others will follow.
Obviously it goes almost without saying that I enjoyed working with Raymond (planner) again. He is very meticulous and his courses were very much enjoyed by pretty well everyone. The area is not a great one from a technical point of view and he did very well to achieve the maximum amount of challenge at all levels. The results show that almost everyone completed their course in a reasonable time. Some of the winning times were impressively short but, for some, it was a particularly runnable area.
Lastly, we couldn't have chosen a better day for weather"
If anyone who entered, but was unable to attend, would like a copy of their course please contact us, with your postal address, and it will be posted out to you.
